Reporting to the Service Manager, you will join our TW Service team for CFXD & ZN windfarms. Based offshore on one of our service operation vessels (SOV), the Shift Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the windfarm from the vessel on a rotational basis. Encompassing HSE, production performance, operations and maintenance and tea, development.

 

Responsibilities

In line with Vestas' quality, HSE and Operational procedures, you will work a 2 week on / 2 week off rotation, based at our CFXD & ZN offshore windfarm site. Your typical tasks would be as follows:

 

  • Responsibility for all offshore operations
  • Production planning and performance
  • Planning and execution of servicing and maintenance plans
  • Employee line management and development
  • Maintaining code of conduct, discipline, and culture on the SOV
  • Weekly and monthly performance reporting
  • Facilitate SOV technical focus, team meetings and strategy deployment
  • SOV crew interface management
  • Contingency planning for vessel operations
  • Windfarm downtime management and control
  • Promote and encourage a positive safety culture
  • Turbine inspections, safety walks and auditing
  • Continuous Improvement focus with first time fix and service duration
  • Participate in morning briefings and toolbox talks
  • Planning and coordination of upgrade campaigns
  • Operational point of escalation for offshore or vessel related issues
  • Oversee management of sub contractors onboard vessel

 

Qualifications

  • 3 years Leadership & Management experience with a background of professional experience with electrical or mechanical systems, having worked in the offshore industry. A willingness to travel when required to suit business needs and a commitment to lead a large offshore service operation.
  • Equally important is to be mature, reliable, and efficient, with an ability to handle unexpected challenges professionally. We expect you to have good problem-solving skills and an ability to positively seek help.
