Our department consists of the following:

Teams of supervisors and technicians supporting preassembly, installation, commissioning, service sites and warehouse. We develop technically capable and dedicated resources with the right mindset. We coordinate and develop people and teams to support operations. We create a culture of safety and costs consciousness. As the Electrical Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in upholding Vestas' high safety and quality standards throughout the installation process of our wind turbines. Your responsibilities will cover a broad spectrum of both vital electrical installation tasks, and mechanical installation tasks that contribute to the smooth running of our offshore installation projects.

 

Responsibilities

Safety and Quality Assurance:

Oversee work activities to ensure they align with Vestas' safety protocols and exacting quality standards.

  • Clear Communication: Ensure timely distribution of the latest safety and installation updates to our installation staff, keeping everyone informed and up to speed on any developments affecting their work.
  • Team Performance and Safety: Have oversight of the installation team's well-being, monitoring their performance and safety, and promoting a collaborative and secure environment for maximum productivity.
  • Adherence to Work Instructions: Enforce the use of the most current work instructions, ensuring the team follows the latest procedures for consistent and precise installations.
  • Non-Conformance Reporting: Take prompt steps to create Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when necessary, addressing any deviations from standards and initiating corrective actions.
  • Timely Progress Monitoring: Closely monitor installation progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and keeping the project on course.
  • Vessel Mobilization/Demobilization Participation: Participate in vessel mobilization and demobilization, ensuring seamless transitions for efficient operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly participate in feedback sessions, evaluations, and toolbox meetings to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our processes and team dynamics.
  • HSE Advocacy: Commitment to supporting health, safety, and environment (HSE) initiatives on-site, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Onboarding Support: Assisting new team members with onboarding, including shadowing and guidance.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in the wind industry. Full GWO training packets is expected.
  • Taiwan Level B technician for interior wiring work (乙級室內配線).

 

Competencies

  • Possess a technical background (marine engineer/electrician) coupled with experience in wind turbine generators (WTGs).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting electrical diagrams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and safety.
  • Capable collaborator with leadership qualities to motivate and inspire technician teams.
  • Clear communication skills in English.
  • Solid grasp of processes, delegation, and administrative abilities.
  • Perform well handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a lively workplace.
