Vestas Offshore Service Support and Electrical Operations Department, is part of the overall Offshore Service Global business, working closely with the Operational Service Team, Sales, Special Projects and Construction. Responsible for the service site setup, support, and preparation, including long term strategic planning for the Global offshore service regions. You will work closely with Electrical operations, Electrical safety, Offshore Service Departments and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Authorized under Vestas SSoW (WTSR/ENSR) as an Authorizing Engineer/HVCP and support the Control of Hazardous Energy/electrical safety programme for V174 and V236.
• Ensure documentations for High Voltage Switching under Vestas boundary.
• Manage switching, testing, commissioning, fault diagnosis and maintaining of high voltage networks in liaison with client technical department and Site Offshore
• Preparation and briefing of risk assessments and method statements for installation/commissioning and Service tasks. Ability to handle fault location activities.
• Review and consolidate of Documentation required from a technical perspective for Project completion Handovers.
• Follow, understand, and advise on local procedures on Control of Hazardous Energy / Electrical Safety standards, particularly to areas where alternative safe systems / methods of work may be applied.
• Provide technical support to Site Management and technicians onshore as well as offshore, into mechanical / electrical related safety and operational issues.
• Visit/Sail out Offshore in rotations based on local agreement and support to carry out Audit in turbine, Workshop, lead as AT(LT&TS) for AE and continuous learning, Field/Offshore Test of AWPs.
• Conduct peer and technical reviews according to the design project model.
• Supplier management and review of supplier's design and report/documentation.
• Participate in Audits at Service Sites as per SSoW (WTSR/ENSR).
• Implementation of equipment to our turbine platform, electrical and mechanical operations.
• On site WTG technical and SSoW (WTSR/ENSR) support in turbine/on-site.
• Creating, reviewing and approving Approved Written Procedures in line with company's rules, support procedures, management instructions and site/regional requirements.
• Review and approval of service procedures (Method Statements, Work Instructions, SIIs, SIFs) and Risk Assessments.
• Verification of Point of Isolations (100% check on a WTG - either themself or in coordination with an appointed site technician), and Safety Precautions to ensure "Safety from the System".
• Reviewing tools as required to complete the work procedures.
• Conducting on-site Technical/WTSR/ ENSR training/induction based on request/need.
• Assisting the implementation of new procedures/processes.
• Input to monthly customer report, as required by the site management.
• Support to the regional service/construction & commissioning team/ management during Project phase handing over.
• Administration responsibilities and skills in their field of work.
• Supporting wind farms in the creation and implementation of Vestas SSoW (WTSR/ENSR).
• Supporting QSE department with regard to the electrical safety and associated incident investigations.
• Participate in subject matter expert workgroups, internal and external in the industry, and share / gain knowledge.
• Responsible for communicating SSoW (WTSR/ENSR) notifications to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide ad-hoc SSoW (WTSR/ENSR) related support and assistance to the direct line management.

Qualifications
• University degree/Qualification in the field of electrical engineering (or electro-mechanical) or similar subject.
• Previous experience within the energy sector, e.g. with a distribution system operator, an OEM or a wind farm developer in a similar role.
• Profound operational experiences in the field of installation, servicing, and maintenance of the electrical systems. For example, relevant previous wind industry technical & operational experience working with Vestas WTGs.
• Good knowledge of low voltage, high voltage, and relevant policy knowledge in electrical networks.
• Knowledge of operations management systems.
• Good awareness for occupational safety.
• Ability and fitness to visit offshore sites as well as working at height.
• A structured and systematic approach to problem solving.
• Fluency in the local language.
