You will be working in the Service department of Vestas Taiwan who are the OEM and responsible for the maintenance and repair of a fleet of offshore wind turbines on behalf of our clients. We are recruiting for a site-based Aviation Operations Team Lead to ensure the safe and efficient operations of our helicopter operations.

 

Responsibilities

As Aviation Operations Team Lead, you will be reporting to the Sr. Operations Manager.

  • The role is accountable for the safe, compliant delivery of all helicopter operations supporting offshore windfarm activities, ensuring full adherence to aviation regulations, company procedures, and the Safety Management System.
  • The role oversees daily flight preparations and operations including, manifests, personnel, tooling and equipment while working in partnership with the service manager, site planning teams and aviation stakeholders to optimize helicopter utilization in line with O&M requirements, weather conditions, and cost controls
  • Responsibility also includes ensuring the skills, training, and certification of technicians.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications:

  • Technical education / degree qualified or relevant industry experience.
  • Solid experience from working in a similar position in an international service organization within the wind or offshore industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing people
  • Good business skills and a customer-focused, solution- and improvement-oriented mindset
  • Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing.
