The Poland Payroll Team is part of the Global People Services - Payroll organization within the NCE region, delivering critical and highly complex payroll operations in a fast‑growing manufacturing environment. The Polish payroll landscape is undergoing significant change following the acquisition of a new factory and a substantial workforce expansion driven by production ramp‑up. This role as Senior Payroll Manager is central to ensuring payroll stability, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence during a period of rapid growth and transformation, while aligning with global payroll standards and NCE governance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage end‑to‑end payroll operations for Poland, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant delivery across manufacturing, operational, and corporate employees
  • Lead and develop the local Poland payroll team, providing direct leadership in an environment with frequent operational changes and complexity
  • Manage payroll complexities linked to new factory operations, including shift work, overtime, allowances, bonuses, union agreements, and production‑related pay elements
  • Ensure full compliance with Polish payroll legislation, including ZUS, PIT, statutory reporting, audits, and employment law requirements
  • Act as the primary escalation point for payroll issues, deep‑diving operationally to resolve problems quickly and avoid business disruption
  • Partner closely with the NCE Payroll Director, HR, Finance, Legal, vendors, and local management to support workforce growth, organizational change, and business expansion
  • Support payroll transformation and governance, including system and process improvements, audit readiness, effective controls, KPI monitoring, and continuous service improvement

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end payroll operations in Poland, in a manufacturing or industrial environment with complex pay structures
  • In‑depth knowledge of Polish payroll legislation, including ZUS, PIT, statutory reporting, audits, and labor regulations
  • Practical leadership experience with the know-how to stabilize, motivate, and develop teams during high workload periods
  • Demonstrated experience supporting payroll operations during significant workforce growth, organizational change, or production ramp‑up
  • Demonstrated direct payroll skills, with the ability to resolve complex payroll issues and work directly with payslips, calculations, and statutory filings when required
  • Experience working with payroll systems and vendors; exposure to global payroll or shared service models is an advantage
  • Fluency in Polish and English is required
