Manufacturing and Global Procurement > COO NCE > PEX Stettin

Regional Manufacturing NCE includes manufacturing of Blades, Nacelles and Generators, as main components. There are currently 2251 employees working within our region, counting 20 different nationalities. We currently operate at 5 internal sites across UK, Denmark, and Germany. A new site is planned for operation in Szczecin, Poland. As a PEX Engineer you will play an important role on a operational level at our Assembly factory Szczecin and take part in executing our strategy within production excellence.

 

Responsibilities
In close collaboration with local team, we expect that you participate and contribute in making the factory adhere to our Production Excellence strategy, and as a part of that:

  • Ensuring the basic lean foundation is in place – 5S, Standard work, Shop floor management etc.
  • Support in creating business cases for prioritizing projects based on the factory’s targets, ensure progress and follow-up
  • Maturing the LEAN mindset and processes in the factory
  • Participate and deliver training at different levels in the factory
  • Coaching of team leads, functions specialists and operators
  • Collect data for future improvements
  • Participate in improvement projects across Vestas 

 

Qualifications 

  • Potentially, but not necessarily, you have an electrical engineering degree or other relevant education
  • You have most likely some years of experience with the LEAN methods and process- and production optimization
  • Comfortable in facilitating workshops and similar
  • Knowledge of systems to collect data, and being able to set up the data ready for analyze
  • Experienced user in Excel
  • Fluent English and Polish language skills, written and spoken
