The Plant Engineering team is responsible for Server & Data, Grid & Control, Network, Cyber Security & Multibrand installations and maintenance. Our team provide support at the sales phase, defining requirements with our Project Management & Planning function. 
Further, the Plant Engineering team is responsible for the installations of the hardware and software of power plants. We are providing for the lifetime of the power plants maintenance, replacement, and upgrades. Our subject matter experts ensure continuous development of the components and provide technical and engineering support to the sales, construction and service regions. Due to all these activities, we are in close contact with R&D, group functions, regional organizations, authorities and end-users. With more than 150 engineers, we are the largest engineering function in the sales business unit of Vestas Northern and Central Europe.

As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the SCADA engineers and technicians in network related matters, both in the planning, construction and operational phase of projects. Interacting with our development team is also a key responsibility. You will be working with six other network engineers colleagues part of Network, Cyber Security and Multibrand Team under Plant Engineering department.

  • Act as the "network consultant" internally to support projects
  • System setup according to standard offerings and customized demands
  • Technical documentation
  • Remote commissioning and support
  • System upgrades and verification work
  • Troubleshooting on advanced level



  • Solid experience in Cisco equipment, CCNA level as minimum
  • Experienced in debugging techniques
  • Experience with industrial electrical systems and basic industrial protocol knowledge (MODBUS, IEC104, OPC) will be counted as advantage 
  • Windows server and Linux knowledge will be counted as advantage
  • Very good English skills, both in speech and writing
  • German skills will be counted as advantage but is not a requirement

Additional information

Work location: Vestas' office in Szczecin
This position requires approximately 15 days of travel yearly.
