Vestas is currently seeking to fill a position to strengthen our Mechanical Engineering team in Northern and Central Europe (NCE)
 
Region NCE> SBU NCE Service > Diagnostics & Multibrand Mechanical Engineering

WTG Engineering NCE including subdepartment Diagnostics & Multibrand Mechanical Engineering NCE is responsible to support regional Service and Construction organizations with technical knowledge to install and operate Vestas and Multibrand turbines successfully within NCE both onshore and offshore. Mechanical team consists of 19 highly experienced and dedicated employees located in several locations in Poland, Germany and Denmark. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating damages on main components and perform RCAs, give recommendations to Service organisation
  • Analysing endoscope pictures and create Component Inspection Reports for internal and external customers
  • Ensure technical knowledge is shared within WTG Engineering teams and towards development department
  • Providing answers / recommendations to technical questions to internal and external stakeholder
  • Taking part in customer or supplier meetings and seminars
  • Create and adjust Service Work instructions
  • Giving Engineering Support directly at site if needed

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master´s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar or longer work experience in the wind industry
  • Knowledge in one of those areas: bolt connection, hydraulics, fracture mechanics or bearings
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English language, verbally and in writing, German would be a benefit
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge in Siemens wind turbine platforms (e.g., SWT-2.3VS) is valuable

  • Customer oriented and the ability to understand the business value seen from a service and customer perspective

  • Ability and willingness to travel within NCE region
