Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity to expand our team and are currently looking for a Maintenance &Facility Team Lead to join our Maintenance department, based at our factory in Szczecin
 

Manufacturing and Global Procurement > COO NCE > Maintenance

The Maintenance department at the Szczecin Nacelle Assembly Factory is servicing a major new offshore Nacelle manufacturing operation serial producing the gigant Vestas offshore nacelle named Blue Marlin. The operation will launch in 2024 and the maintenance department must prepare and be ready to support operation from the very first build. The maintenance department is servicing the entire range of manufactory equipment present on site. Either directly through the workforce within the department or by utilizing external services. The department has a strong team of service technicians and competences within the department to plan all maintenance for the operation. The department is supported by several regional and global functions with the Vestas organization and the department is therefore acting locally but within an international environment.

 

Responsibilities
Lead and develop the team members of the maintenance department to ensure high employee satisfaction and secure the department is at all times able to deliver on its promises. People management is a key task of the job. To ensure clear visibility in the department for the individual employee you must lead the team in terms for job role clarity, expectations and priorities

  • People development dialogue, one to one feedback
  • Create and communicate clear goals
  • Onboarding, job interviews, setting the team
  • Plan activities together with the team to meet expectations for the department
  • Provide improvements through within the department 
  • Supervise the performance in the department and take the necessary actions if standards and expectations are not met
  • Lead, promote and enable a strong safety and quality culture through your behavior and areas of engagement

 

Qualifications 

  • Any kind of education or training within the field of people leadership and management is relevant
  • Past experience within leadership is mandatory
  • Any technical back ground is also very relevant as position is exposed to technical challenges on a daily basis
  • Leadership experience
  • IT skills
  • Polish language skills are mandatory
  • Good communication skills and fluent in English is welcomed (English is the company wide language)
