Vestas Technology & Operations > Manufacturing > Szczecin Nacelles

The Materials & Resources Department is part of the Operations function and is responsible for managing production planning and material availability across the plant. It ensures alignment between global and local production schedules, optimizes resource usage, and supports timely delivery of blades and pre-molding components. The department works closely with purchasing, logistics, and production teams to maintain operational efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards. Its mission is to deliver accurate planning, ensure material readiness, and support continuous improvement initiatives 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Align plant production schedules with global planning and adjust capacity to meet targets
  • Ensure the purchasing plan matches the short-term production plan and prioritize deliveries
  • Coordinate weekly production schedule changes and monitor daily progress
  • Initiate daily production orders and report them in the system
  • Communicate material needs to plant buyers and confirm subcontractor delivery dates
  • Promote and follow Vestas safety standards, reporting unsafe conditions and near misses

 

Qualifications

  • Technical school, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in engineering or a related field – beneficial
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar industry – considered an asset
  • Experience in planning, logistics, or related departments within an industrial environment
  • Basic technical knowledge
  • Driving license B category 
  • Awareness of spare parts management
  • Proficiency in English
