Vestas Northern and Central Europe is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, UK & IR, Germany, Poland & Baltic Countries, Benelux as well as Eastern European countries. We are responsible for the Sales function, Project, Installation, and Service of wind farms throughout these regions. We aim to be the No. 1 performing business unit within Vestas, and we aim to make Vestas Northern and Central Europe the best place to work.
The Service department is responsible for servicing wind turbines, maintaining long-term service contracts, and capturing aftersales opportunities available in the region. To accommodate our growth, we are looking for a new Customer Manager to the team in Szczecin, Poland. The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication is the key to our growth. Vestas Poland is a local Sales Business Unit (SBU) with its main office in Szczecin. The SBU sell, construct, and service wind turbines in Poland. The Service Organization, operating the wind turbines and providing services to the customers, employs approximately 280 employees.
 
Responsibilities

As a future member of the Customer Service Management team, you will join an international team of motivated and committed colleagues responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with customers based on partnership and terms included in service contracts to ensure both high customer satisfaction and maximize revenue.

As a Customer Manager, you will be responsible for the revenue of your own customer portfolio which BU Service Poland handles. As the main Vestas contact for your customers, you will create, build, and retain high quality customer relationships and efficient internal collaboration resulting in high customer satisfaction as well as solid financial growth for both the customer and Vestas.

Furthermore, you will be:

  • Handling daily communication with Vestas' customers
  • Acting on behalf of the customers internally within Vestas to ensure that we deliver on a promise, which includes communication with the department, back office
  • Supporting functions across the region, and all other stakeholders vital for the process
  • Creating and securing administrative routines with new or existing customers
  • Negotiating service contracts being renewed
  • Actively participating in the handovers of new wind parks from service sales and construction
  • Defining and seeking new business opportunities and coordinating complex after-sales projects needed for profitable development

 

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of professional experience gained in a similar customer-facing position, acquired in a relevant industry (B2B, commercial, corporate, engineering, energy, manufacturing or similar)
  • Higher education degree (preferred Economics & Sales, Engineering, Project Management or similar)
  • Experience in working on a project-life cycle framework and being involved in the execution process, communicating with various stakeholders across international organizations
  • Proven skills in delivering on budget and ensuring a high-quality customer experience in a cost-efficient way
  • Contractual knowledge combined with proven negotiating skills
  • Good skills in MS Office and experience of using ERP system such as SAP
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Polish. Communication skills in any other foreign language on a business level are advantageous

Additional information
Work location: Vestas' office in Szczecin
This position requires approximately 90 days of travel yearly.
