The Global Nacelle Operational Quality department operates under the Global Manufacturing & Supply Chain Quality division, a critical component of the Vestas Global Quality structure. Our mission is to deliver excellence across all nacelle-related production facilities by implementing robust performance management systems, facilitating the sharing of best practices, and managing worldwide quality enhancement initiatives.

Key activities include conducting comprehensive audits and inspections, standardizing processes, and deploying global standards across our network. We are also responsible for overseeing Close Loop Quality (CLQ) across all relevant nacelle segments, including nacelles, hubs, generators, and more. Through our efforts, we ensure that our manufacturing practices not only meet but exceed the stringent quality expectations required to maintain Vestas' leadership in the wind energy sector.

 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Quality Performance Management within Manufacturing
  • Ensure effective Non-conformance Management and risk management
  • Facilitate Quality improvements and ensure best practices and CLQ are shared and applied in lifecycle management
  • Ensure operational quality competencies and training effectiveness
  • Input for supplier performance
  • Facilitate Quality workstream for NPI/TT projects
  • Product and Process Audits to secure Global Standardization & Deployment within Nacelle Manufacturing

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field
  • Solid working experience in the MFG quality area, especially with big structural components like casting, welded structures and surface coating process
  • Experience with problem-solving methodologies (Six Sigma Green Belt is ideal)
  • Experience with quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, APQP4Wind). Demonstrated experience in guiding quality enhancement efforts throughout various locations and international operations
  • Experience with audits especially with ISO 9001, VDA 6.3 and VDA 6.5
  • Good understanding of international standards (ISO, ASTM) and knowledge about GD&T
  • Experience with quality management software and tools (SAP NCR (nonconformance), QDA)

  • Highly developed analytical capabilities to understand intricate data and turn discoveries into actionable strategies
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in a global environment with a deep understanding of the cultural nuances that impact quality and operational performance
  • Proficient in operational procedures and quality assurance methods, with the capability to adjust to rapidly changing workplace settings, maintaining a commitment to ongoing enhancement
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and apply new technologies or methodologies to enhance quality performance and operational efficiency
  • Fluent in both English and Polish
