Lotus Creek is a brand-new wind farm in Queensland, nearing the completion of its construction phase, and we’re seeking an exceptional leader to establish and guide the service team from the ground up. As a Site Supervisor with Vestas, you’ll lead a skilled team of technicians in maintaining cutting‑edge wind turbine technology, while fostering a strong safety culture and building lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders.

The department operates as a small, on‑site team at Lotus Creek Wind Farm in QLD. Technicians report directly to the Site Supervisor and are responsible for the ongoing upkeep and maintenance of the turbines in accordance with contractual obligations. You’ll be supported by an administrator, stock keeper, and planner, with KPIs set by the Area Service Manager.
Responsibilities:

Safety & Compliance
-
Ensure all site activities comply with Vestas HSE policies, WHS legislation, and environmental regulations.

Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, meeting Safety KPIs and conducting regular toolbox and pre-start briefings.

Engage with landowners to ensure safe operations on site.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead and manage a team of technicians, including HR responsibilities, annual reviews, and Continuous Performance Development (CPD).

Provide clear direction, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to service personnel.

Identify and support staff development needs in consultation with the Site Manager.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

Maintain strong relationships with customers, landowners, and key stakeholders.

Routinely communicate site activities and updates to customer representatives.

Monitor customer satisfaction and provide feedback and strategy suggestions to line managers.

Operational Management
-
Plan and execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities in collaboration with the Site Planner.

Ensure service and maintenance tasks are completed within scheduled timeframes and contractual obligations.

Supervise maintenance of Wind Turbine Generators, electrical and civil Balance of Plant (BoP) components.

Monitor turbine performance indicators to maintain and improve reliability.

Administration & Reporting

Prepare and manage work rosters, including on-call schedules.

Maintain accurate records in SAP and other reporting systems.

Observe and enforce all work instructions, procedures, and codes of practice.

Qualifications:
-
At least 5 years of experience in a related field.

Electrical or mechanical trade certificate (Preferred).

Previous experience supervising a team in an industrial setting.

Valid driver’s license.
Competencies:
-
Intermediate user of MS Office, ERP (SAP) and exposure to Service specific software programs.

Ability to display practical hands-on approach to the service operation.

Good verbal communication within a professional service provider environment.

Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Support teams in a major site-based service environment

Support sub-contractors in remote site locations e.g. crane, excavation, electrical, civil.

Management and reporting of budgetary requirements.
