Responsibilities

  • Work very closely with Vesta departments such as Technology, Construction, Procurement, Supply Chain, Transportation, Service, HSE and Quality, bringing commercial insight, flagging and managing cross-functional risks, identifying matters that require escalation and making sure all costs are adequately captured in our new proposals.
  • Make sure new proposals capture all execution and cost lessons learnt from ongoing offshore project, being in APAC area and global offshore projects
  • As needed and when escalated, support relevant subject matter experts in the negotiations of all aspects related to construction, technical, procurement, supply chain, transportation, HSE and QA in the Turbine Supply Agreement
  • Attend internal review processes when project costing is being finalized to ensure an attractive but risk balanced offer. When projects are to be escalated- take the lead in steering dpts such as construction, technical, supply chains, transportation, procurement, HSE and QA in the Turbine Supply Agreement together with the relevant subject matter experts and escalate to department heads as needed and engage them in internal alignments - to make sure we have the right project offering.
  • Be part of review process for project cost and contingency estimates for construction, technical, procurement, supply chains, transportation, HSE and QA offerings and ensure consistently high quality and making sure we have right execution models with right costing elements.
  • Make sure that teams of package managers are using the right standards for handling the planning, follow up and report project progress internally across all tracks involved in the negotiation of the Turbines Supply Agreement
  • Make sure there is alignment across construction, technical, supply chain, transportation, procurement, HSE and QA customer requirements, risk assessment and mitigation with internal stakeholders
  • Be a go to person for all Sales package managers in APAC region and make sure team has all relevant knowledge to cope with various projects.
  • As needed, face the customers jointly with the Sales Director or other relevant Departments Heads - when subject is being escalated and can't be resolved at working levels

 

Qualifications

We are looking for a person with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or business administration, coupled with at least 25 years of professional and project management experience, ideally within the wind energy, EPCI offshore oil and gas, power plants, infrastructure, or the construction industry. A master's degree would be preferred.
  • Solid level of technical expertise and commercial business insight
  • Understanding of the technical complexities of offshore wind projects as well as the contractual mechanisms
  • Experience on the technical side in negotiations of large complex projects
  • •Fluent in English and Korean is desirable
