Responsibilities

  • The Senior P&C Business Partner serves as People & Culture (P&C) key role holder for Business Partnering Service APAC and country heading South Korea. The candidate will be the anchor for driving business-focused people solutions that deliver effective results through the alignment of P&C initiatives to strategic business goals. The role will have to work in a matrixed environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Be a value adding member of the Management Teams both in the regional People & Culture APAC and local Korean team, and to push throughout the value chain with a deep expertise within people and organization, with knowledge to enable establishing ever-growing organizations.
  • Plays a crucial role as a Functional Business Partner to Service (Key Business across Vestas APAC with a large span spread over multiple geographies, including Regional & Global Service teams)
  • The role will be responsible for building Engagement, developing talent retention in partnership with business, focusing on talent development for mid managers.
  • Ensure bring business, change management, consulting and learning know-how into a trusted partnership with line managers, to create value and ensure them reach their business goals
  • To enable transform winning strategies into tangible action and embed policies into real life
  • To enable focus on execution and fulfilment of business strategy by aligning and deploying P&C processes, policies, systems, and programs to enable accomplishment of the vision and mission
  • To enable by being a change agent that diagnose systemic organizational problems, assist set an agenda for the future, and create plans for how to make change happen and stick
  • To coach leaders on their people and business leadership to assist them develop their leadership capabilities and act as a role model; in doing so offer the leaders feedback on progress
  • The role involves a hands-on focus from the incumbent with clear understanding of the Vestas processes
  • Being a key point of contact from local Korean legislation, legal inputs as the first point contact for Employee Relations. Based on Korean legislation requirements, make suggestions to management and drive changes to any HR related topic relevant to HR aspect of Vestas Korea.
  • Support Functional Business partners with any of the Country aspects to employment law, disciplinary proceedings.

 

Competencies

  • A relevant HR or business education and specialization. Master level will be preferred.
  • 15+ years of related HR Management, Business Partnering and management experience or equivalent
  • A proven history ideally gained from a global manufacturing, project delivering multifaceted solutions e.g. Oil & Gas, Construction, or Service industry background and covering multiple locations in Asia.
  • Must have ability to understand and develop effective HR strategies while understanding the implications from a culture, business benefit, company practice, regulatory and legal standpoint
  • Good business insight, with experience presenting to and influencing business leaders, an organizational approach to problem solving, experience designing and project developing successful people programs.
  • Proven knowledge in developing and driving knowledge organizations and at the same develop leaders
  • Good understanding of the Korean labour legislation is a bonus
  • Possesses strategic thinking and flexibility to function in a busy and innovative environment. The ability to diagnose problems and identify & implement appropriate long-term solutions
  • The ability to provide leadership, work collaboratively on teams, and consult effectively and independently with all levels of the organization
  • High oral and written communication skills
  • Proven experience with developing cultural change management projects
  • Great ability to prioritize various tasks, take initiative, negotiate, and influence thinking
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with all internal contacts/coworkers
  • Good project management skills
  • Good understanding of working in a matrix structure and being key in thought leadership and stakeholder management
