The COO Finance Director is responsible for ensuring objective and transparent financial support for making choices, primarily the Regional COO, by delivering financial reporting and analysis on activities across the full COO value chain - consisting of internal and external factories, supply chain, procurement, transport, quality and HSE functions.

The Regional COO Finance team is part of the APAC Regional Finance team and the COO Finance Director reports to the Regional CFO for the APAC region. The wider APAC finance team consists of approximately 55 finance colleagues, of which the 9 is the COO Finance team.

 

Responsibilities

  • Be a pro-active and value adding member of the APAC COO Management Team

  • Responsible for Performance Management supporting stakeholders in making choices and realistic target setting, across Safety, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Transport and supply chain functions

  • Responsible for keeping stakeholders accountable for target gaps

  • Follow up on KPIs and Performance for COO area and facilitate monthly Performance Reviews

  • Support the business in making choices, by providing facts, scenarios and suggestions to improve performance

  • Review and follow up on business cases

  • Keep stakeholders accountable for target gaps and investigate and highlight root causes

  • Continuously develop the Finance team in the region, as well as the existing reporting and financial processes within the area

 

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of experience within Financial Controlling/Performance Management/Finance Leadership positions

  • At minimum a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Auditing, Business Economics or equivalent. Master's degree is a bonus.

  • Fluent in speaking and writing in English

  • Solid business acumen; experience with manufacturing and supply-chain intensive companies a big plus

  • Experience working in a matrix, i.e. good stakeholder management skills

  • A documented history of effectively implementing financial processes and reports

  • Creative presentation skills; ability to clearly communicate complex messages in a simple manner
