Service Operations Manager

Service Operations LATAM is responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of wind turbines, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability of wind farms across the region. The team focuses on delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality field service operations, while ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, safety, and financial performance.
The department manages end-to-end service delivery, including customer relationships, escalations, and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple countries. It collaborates closely with sales, engineering, and global support teams to ensure contractual commitments are met and to enhance overall fleet performance and long-term asset reliability.
Responsabilities:
- Manage end-to-end service operations for wind farms in Chile and Peru, ensuring turbine availability and performance targets
- Ensure compliance with service contracts, including SLA commitments related to uptime, response times, and maintenance execution
- Act as primary escalation point for critical turbine failures, major incidents, or underperformance cases
- Manage and develop field service teams (technicians, supervisors, planners), ensuring safety and technical excellence
- Build a workplace culture centered on safety and maintain full alignment with HSE standards and zero-harm objectives
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities, optimizing planning and execution efficiency
- Ensure financial performance of service contracts (revenue, cost control, margins, forecasting accuracy)
- Build and maintain close working relationships with customers (asset owners, operators), acting as trusted operational partner
- Manage spare parts strategy, logistics, and resource planning to minimize downtime
- Monitor fleet performance (availability, reliability, failure trends) and implement improvement actions
- Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Support contract renewals, service upgrades, and lifecycle solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related)
- Experience in operations, maintenance, or service delivery in wind energy or heavy industry (power generation, utilities, mining, oil & gas)
- Experience managing field service operations and technical teams
- Practical knowledge of wind turbine operations and maintenance
- Experience managing service contracts, KPIs, and operational performance
- Financial acumen (budgeting, cost control, contract margins)
- Solid HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) background
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Availability to travel to wind farms as required
