Supply Chain Project Specialist

LATAM Supply Chain at Vestas is responsible for:

• Facilitating long-term sales forecasting.
• Enabling sales and maturing the portfolio of projects until FOI, including timing, capacity, pre-calculations and configuration readiness.
• Optimizing the project portfolio through risk management, scenario planning and change control.
• Ensuring On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery while minimizing pre- and post-execution variances.
• Coordinating inventory and lead-time management across the end-to-end supply chain.
• Developing footprint strategies to improve resilience and support growth across LATAM.

Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Project Specialist acts as a key integrator between regional and global stakeholders, managing supply chain initiatives and project execution across LATAM to ensure resilient operations, optimized capacity utilization and OTIF deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving regional footprint resilience and supporting strategic projects, including local footprint expansion, supplier and manufacturing adjustments, aligned with business needs and market dynamics.
• Serve as the primary LATAM focal point for operational constraints and escalations, coordinating root cause analysis, problem solving, risk mitigation and scenario planning with Transportation, Procurement, SQD, Manufacturing, CPX and Global Planning teams.
• Maintain end-to-end oversight of the LATAM project portfolio, ensuring alignment across Manufacturing, CPX and Global Planning to support production and delivery commitments while managing risks, capacity constraints and plan changes.
• Coordinate medium- and long-term footprint initiatives, including business case studies related to manufacturing capacity, supplier strategy, footprint resilience and factory network optimization.
• Manage scenario planning for firm and non-firm projects, partnering with Sales, CPX and Global Planning to optimize capacity utilization and delivery performance across blades, towers, WTG assembly, site parts and other key components.
• Partner with regional manufacturing teams, particularly blade operations, to ensure alignment on production commitments, footprint utilization and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with Services teams to consolidate component demand and optimize logistics solutions, improving vessel utilization and reducing low-volume transportation requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field.
• Fluent English required; ability to communicate effectively in Spanish is valuable.
• Solid experience in Supply Chain, Operations Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics or Project Management within industrial, manufacturing, energy or engineering environments.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects and stakeholders in matrix organizations.
• Experience in supply chain planning, capacity planning, scenario analysis and operational risk management.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience in the wind energy industry is valuable.
• PMP and/or PRINCE2 certifications are valuable.

• High level of ownership, accountability and results orientation.
• Self-motivated, organized and detail oriented.
