Financial Performance & Analytics Specialist

The Service Management Office is responsible for translating the Global and Regional strategies into actionable plans to be executed by the Service LATAM team. The team focuses on developing and implementing strategic initiatives that support Vestas' strategy and ensure high-quality results that contribute to achieve mid-term and long-term growth and profitability of the LATAM region and Vestas globally. The department promotes, guides, and governs the end-to-end strategy in LATAM Service - from development and communication to execution and profitability realization.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide visibility into project performance, focusing on Profit & Loss (P&L), cash flow, and Risks & Opportunities (R&O).
  • Monitor regional performance at the portfolio level, explaining variances against previous periods, budgets, and targets.
  • Develop monthly backlog analysis, developing strategies to maintain a healthy contract backlog while optimizing P&L impact.
  • Analyze monthly deviations, prepare financial presentations, and coordinate internal reporting processes.
  • Assess cost impacts and collaborate with the operational team to deliver profitability improvements.
  • Identify recurrent deviations, providing feedback to the sales team to enhance future project budget accuracy.
  • Ensure quality and thorough assessment of risk, opportunities, and lessons learned data.
  • Review project budgets before new contracts are signed.
  • Conduct monthly project follow-ups and identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Perform root cause analysis on major deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify trends across projects, suggesting areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Finance BPM and Service Cost Controllers teams to standardize processes.
  • Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring accurate data representation for future projections.
  • Maintain and improve data quality across financial systems.

 

Qualification

 

  • Solid financial background, with expertise in P&L management and forecasting.
  • Experience in the Service industry is desarible
  • Understanding of the Percentage of Completion financial method.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and SAP BI.

  • Full communication skills in both English and Spanish; Portuguese is desarible.
  • Good stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and capable of delivering results efficiently.
  • Skilled at arranging an assortment of responsibilities in a multifaceted work context.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
