The Services Department is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of our customers' wind farms, ensuring the best performance of each turbine during its useful life.
Our target is to ensure that the turbines operate at maximum capacity, delivering the best energy production to our customers.
As a key team to maintain our customer's loyalty for the long term. The Service Sales Senior Manager uses their skills and training to match customer needs transforming it in a value proposition to our customers. With a very creative daily work full of tasks and room for improvements in line with Vestas guidance as well as creative thinking on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Service Sales professional will direct front-end assessment of business opportunities leveraging Vestas team and its network of colleagues globally to provide sales & service solutions.
- Tasks include building strategy to ensure Vestas meets FOI, Revenue and CM targets for all segment revenue streams.
- Structures deals with the full breadth of Vestas in mind to understand and support the organizational linkages and impacts.
- Accountable for product line leadership and collaborates cross-functionally with colleagues to promote transactions.
- Develops sales strategy and negotiates sound business deals with customers in accordance with company standards.
- Effective direction in account activities, handling issues at various corporate levels
- Create and deliver a compelling speech to illustrate the distinction proposition.
- Manage all aspects of RFP / RFQ responses, guiding the team thru the market opportunities.
- Direct contract negotiations through its phases from the offer proposition up to its signature.
- Collect and convey internally competitive intelligence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Economics, MBA degree.
- 10 years' experience in technical sales, commercial customer communications, contract negotiation, or legal knowledge and has skills in at least one of these areas.
- 10 years' experience selling power generation equipment to utilities in the wind industry or complex capital equipment sales.
- Experience in the negotiation and closing of complex long-cycle larger capex agreements where long-term partnering is crucial to outcomes.
- Notable capability in understanding commercial terms, and negotiation strategy, balancing business profitability and customer needs.
- Understanding of how to supervise customer accounts and support team selling. Know how to locate business opportunities and initiate customer contact
- Solid management skills; ability in coaching, mentoring, motivating, and developing employees to create a highly aligned, motivated, and engaged team.
- Converts strategy into action-oriented goals and communicates the direction with clarity.
- Continuous improvement and quality methodology skills.
- Effective issue resolution and structured problem-solving methodology.
- Proficient in English and Portuguese communication (verbal & written). Spanish is beneficial.
