The BID / Quote Department collaborate and working closely with the sales, development, construction, procurement and customs departments in order to commitment with sustainable energy solutions.

 

Professional of Transport Quote/Bid/Plan, within BID Transport Outbound Department, is responsible to ensure effective transport bids in alignment with customers' expectations/tender's specifications. Reporting to the Transport Cluster Bid Manager Leader, the Professional of Transport Bid is an integral part of the Bid Management team that will work in collaboration with Sales, Construction, Customers and Supply Chain team to ensure alignment between the bids/tenders, the clients' expectations and Vestas targets for all projects/contracts performed in the overall region.

 

You will be part a team in charge of the strategic transport of a portfolio of projects from early sales and development engagement to final execution.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Execute Transport bid response and handle the transport scope, terms, and conditions during contract negotiations, including local, international, general cargo, containers, and Breakbulk Cargos.
  • Assess transport scope and prepare tactical plan through internal project management in Operations with relevant functional areas for proposal preparation, engage with customers to optimize transport proposal and provide clarification.
  • Budgeting and planning projects in collaboration with Supply Chain departments (Supply, transport outbound, Procurement, Planning and Technology...) and with other Vestas functions (Construction, BOP and Installation) ensuring competitive cost alignment within the project strategy and business constraints.
  • Maintain overview of major transport risks during sales phase and implement lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Reporting, analysis, and evaluation of post & precalculus results to optimize cost and profitability of Vestas projects.
  • Support to Contract Execution Package approval in collaboration with Procurement Team and supporting the Regional Head of Transport within the approval process.
  • Support Business improvement initiatives to ensure competitive & value-added solutions.
  • Development, Participation in the development of new transport processes: vessel optimizations, adequate transport capacity, port capacity, and delivery rate, etc...in order to find adequate opportunities for Vestas and Vestas' customers

 

Qualifications

 

  • At least Technical degree in Engineering, administration, logistics or similar; MBA would be ranked
  • Nacional and International transport acumen and experience in working with bids and request for quotation process.
  • Transport terms and conditions knowledge and understanding is key as well as experience in transport and contract negotiations
  • Fluent in English and second language like Spanish is valued.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Power Point, DDBB and Power BI computer skills
