Vestas Factory

Our team provides technical support to Service Operations across the region. We work in close collaboration with engineering, field technicians, customers, and global R&D teams to ensure the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our wind turbine fleet.

 

Key activities of the department include:

 

  • Daily technical support to Service Operations, including troubleshooting and processing CIRs and TSLs.
  • Engineering support for locally developed solutions for the existing fleet.
  • Coordinating fleet changes by contributing to centralized processes (CIM, projects).
  • Deploying technical solutions to operational sites.
  • Ensuring correct software versions and parameter configurations.
  • Meeting with customers to address technical inquiries, concerns, and improvement opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

 

  • Conduct reliability assessments and perform deep-dive analysis of underperforming electrical main components.
  • Act as the technical liaison between Service Operations and Vestas Wind System A/S R&D teams to improve turbine performance.
  • Provide specialized diagnostic support for electrical components such as generators and transformers.
  • Coordinate and execute post‑mortem analyses on damaged or decommissioned components.
  • Develop methods, procedures, and guides to support Field Services in turbine inspections.
  • Review work instructions, electrical diagrams, external inspection reports, and perform site observations with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate closely with field teams, vendors, customers, and Continuous Improvement/R&D stakeholders.
  • Support the legal department with technical guidance on electrical matters when required.
  • Stay updated on professional and technical developments through training and industry publications.
  • Create and deliver technical presentations for internal and external audiences.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrable experience as Electrical Engineer
  • Conversational English.
  • Spanish language skills
