The Finance department is responsible for the governance and control of financial processes in Brazil, operating in close partnership with the Shared Services Center (SSC). The team ensures compliance with local and global requirements, accurate execution of payments, proper reconciliations, and adherence to corporate policies and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Act as the end-to-end owner of International Accounts Payable processes in Brazil
- Ensure that payments, clearings, and reconciliations are properly executed, validated, and completed, including activities performed by the Shared Services Center (SSC)
- Coordinate payments to foreign suppliers and intercompany transactions, including:
- Foreign exchange (FX) closing
- Down payments
- Bank approvals
- Perform financial and tax controls, including:
- Daily analysis and reconciliations (SOA, NCRs, and blocked invoices)
- Daily cash flow monitoring
- Support local tax and import processes (DI, Siscomex, and Import ICMS)
- Act as the local point of contact with the SSC, ensuring compliance with SLAs, deadlines, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Experience in International Accounts Payable and Treasury
- Previous experience working with a Shared Services Center (SSC)
Knowledge of:
- International payments and foreign exchange processes
- Import operations
- Brazilian taxes (ISS, ICMS, ICMS DIFAL, IRRF, PIS, COFINS, and CIDE)
- Experience with accounting and tax reconciliations, internal controls, and audits
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience with financial ERP systems
- English proficiency to operate in a global corporate environment
