We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team at Golden Plains Wind Farm. As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the performance of wind turbines while ensuring the safety of our team and the public. You will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our clients and providing mentorship to our service maintenance team. You will have the opportunity to utilise your knowledge of managing service maintenance teams while delivering an exceptional product to our client. 

  

Responsibilities 

  • Ensure the safety of the wind farm site to the highest standards 

  • Achieve and exceed performance targets for the wind farm 

  • Provide clear direction and leadership to service personnel 

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and key stakeholders 

  • Mentor and transfer knowledge to team members to develop their skills 

  • Foster a positive and productive team environment with internal and external stakeholders 

  • Collaborate with the Site Planner to ensure all work is completed within the planned schedule 

  • Supervise and perform maintenance activities on Wind Turbine Generators, eBoP, and civil BoP specified within the O&M contract 

  • Ensure scheduled services are completed within prescribed timeframes 

  • Monitor turbine performance indicators to maintain and improve reliability 

  • Supervise maintenance, logistics, and business records to ensure accurate and up-to-date reporting using SAP and other systems 

  

Qualifications 

  • Electrical or mechanical trade certificate 

  • Cert IV in Project Management or a HSE discipline 

  • Highly regarded Managing Safely certificate/diploma 

  

Competencies 

  • Proficient in MS Office, ERP (SAP), and service-specific software programs 

  • Customer-focused and able to understand their needs 

  • Hands-on approach to service operations 

  • Strong verbal communication skills in a professional service environment 

  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders 

  • Decision-making skills to take effective action 

  • Focus on continual system improvement 

  • Experience managing teams in a major site-based service environment 

  • Develop work rosters and time allocation in a major asset service environment 

  • Manage sub-contractors in remote site locations such as crane, excavation, electrical, and civil work 

  • Management and reporting of budgetary requirements
