Vestas Factory

Join our Process Excellence (PEX) team and play a key role in optimizing processes at Vestas’ Ringkøbing factory. In this role, you’ll collaborate across production, logistics, and quality to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance performance using lean tools and Kaizen principles. The Process Excellence (PEX) department is the driving force behind continuous improvement at the Ringkøbing factory. With 25 years of manufacturing experience, the factory produces a wide range of onshore nacelles, hubs, and drivetrains. The PEX team works closely with production, logistics, quality, and HSE to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

At the heart of our approach is Kaizen-the philosophy of small, incremental improvements that lead to lasting change. Through structured problem-solving, data analysis, and lean tools, the PEX team empowers employees to engage in improvements and build a culture of operational excellence.

 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Kaizen initiatives across production and support functions, enabling continuous improvement through structured problem-solving and employee engagement
  • Facilitate lean workshops and improvement events using tools such as A3, 5 Whys, DMAIC, and PDCA
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
  • Analyze operational data and performance trends to uncover root causes and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, quality, and HSE to align improvement efforts
  • Contribute to ramp-up readiness and new product introductions, ensuring process stability and scalability
  • Monitor and report on improvement KPIs, tracking impact and sustainability of implemented changes and promote a culture of continuous improvement, coaching teams and individuals in lean thinking and problem-solving

You will have a small team of 1 PEX technician to help you out with more practical work

 

Qualifications

  • We prefer a Master's degree or Lean/Six Sigma certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related technical field
  • Experience in production, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement roles, we prefer  in a high-volume or complex manufacturing environment
  • Solid knowledge of lean principles and Kaizen methodologies Including tools like 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, PDCA, and A3 problem-solving
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance tracking Using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms
  • Ability to facilitate workshops and engage cross-functional teams with solid communication and coaching skills

  • Communication & Influence Able to clearly convey improvement goals, progress, and results to both shop floor teams and management

Expected travel up to 15 days annually.
