Ready to make a global impact in renewable energy?
Join Vestas’ Continuous Improvement Management team and play a key role in driving high-impact implementation projects across our global wind turbine fleet.
In this dynamic and collaborative role, you will work at the intersection of technology, operations, and customer value—coordinating complex initiatives, engaging with international stakeholders, and delivering solutions that improve performance at scale.
Vestas Technology & Operations > Quality > CIM Tower & Powertrain
Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is the integrated CTO and COO organization within Vestas, encompassing the full industrial value chain — from Research & Development, Procurement and Manufacturing to Supply Chain and Quality. VTO’s mission is to transform the way Vestas engineers, sources, contracts, manufactures and delivers its products to consistently meet the highest standards for quality, cost efficiency and time-to-market.
You will be part of the Continuous Improvement Management (CIM) department, operating across Vestas’ global value chain, working closely with external suppliers, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive product improvement initiatives.
Within CIM, the team is responsible for managing and resolving complex technical and operational issues that arise in turbine fleets after handover to customers. The department plays a critical role in identifying failure modes, driving root cause analysis, enabling improvements, and ultimately ensuring successful global implementation of solutions across regions.
The team works in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment, bringing together project managers, technical specialists, and implementation experts across multiple global locations. Together, they lead large-scale, high-impact initiatives involving components such as powertrain, towers, gearboxes, and generators.
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a strong focus on stakeholder collaboration, communication, and delivering measurable business impact.
Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the turbine population scope, including validation and approval of affected units for CIM implementation cases
- Drive and monitor progress of CIM cases in the implementation phase, ensuring timely execution and closure
- Act as the primary point of contact for Sales Business Units (SBUs) and regional stakeholders during implementation
- Coordinate planning, prioritization, and execution of implementation activities, including alignment with Spare Parts and field teams where required
- Ensure quality and compliance through review of work instructions, risk assessments, and solution verification prior to deployment
- Manage and control financial provisions in collaboration with CIM Finance, and provide input to reporting (e.g., functional reviews, time studies, task lists)
- Oversee end-to-end case governance, including customer communication, documentation updates (CIM portal), and formal closure of CIM cases/projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with typically 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Proven experience in coordinating complex projects or implementation activities, with strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and deliver results across cross-functional teams and business units
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., DMAIC, Six Sigma, SCRUM, or stage-gate models) is beneficial
- Exposure to international and multicultural environments, with a customer-focused mindset and ability to build effective internal and external relationships
- Proficiency in SAP
- Fluent in English
Competencies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and influence diverse global stakeholders
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain overview while also diving into details when required
- Demonstrated organizational and coordination skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Technical curiosity and interest, with the ability to understand complex systems (e.g., turbines, components) without requiring deep engineering expertise
- Proactive, self-driven team player with high ownership, attention to detail, and a results-oriented mindset in a fast-paced, global environment
