Power Solutions is responsible for developing, verifying, and industrializing wind turbines and related products. It is here that we lay Vestas' technical- and technological foundation for staying the global leader in sustainable energy solutions by continuously reducing the Levelized Cost of Energy.
The Powertrain Module department consists of 140 highly skilled employees and consultants situated in Denmark and Germany, and across teams extending to Portugal, India, China, and US. The department is accountable for the powertrain module, converting mechanical energy from the wind turbine rotor into electrical power. We have an immediate opening for a Project Assistant, responsible for providing support to advance technology- and new module development projects within Powertrain Project Management. Activities hereunder involves many facets of project management, from administration of project plans and project budgets in close collaboration with Project Managers to controlling of project resource data and to follow up on project actions and deliverables. Many activities hereunder involve close collaboration with project managers and the respective development teams, and this aspect requires a candidate with good communication skills, a capability to deal with many different tasks at the same time, and not least - a distinct ability to work with, and control project data in advanced project management tools and systems.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Project management assistance to integrated product development projects
  • Support Project Managers in maintaining project plans and budgets in JIRA and SAP
  • Follow up on project actions and deliverables
  • Monitor, control, and report on project quality
  • Build and develop project management processes, tools, and best practices in collaboration with the Project Management team

 

Qualifications

  • Assistant Project Manager with min. vocational- or academy profession-level education within a relevant field (e.g., finance, business, or administration)
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a similar role or position
  • Experienced user of project management tools such as JIRA and SAP PPM
  • Solid language skills (speaking and writing) in English are required
  • Experience with global matrix organizations is desired

  • You are enthusiastic and have a good sense of responsibility
  • You have good interpersonal skills, incl. proficiencies in working with remote teams
  • You are experienced in solving administrative project tasks, sometimes several at the same time
  • You are structured in your work with project data
  • You are motivated in working with advanced project management tools
