To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future. Converter Control department develops and maintains all converter control and software functionalities for all Vestas turbines. We provide first in class converter solutions with quality meeting system and grid requirements. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Specify and develop HIL (Hardware-In-Loop) solutions for development / quality maintenance of Converter Software
  • Participate in reviewing stakeholder requirements to adapt HIL solutions
  • Work with internal and external software and infrastructure developers to ensure the quality of our system solution
  • Transform requirements from different stakeholders into generic solutions
  • Keep yourself and the department up-to-date on relevant technology and practices
  • Align with - and participate in development of technology roadmaps
  • Support and maintain existing HIL (Test Walls) Hardware and Software infrastructure

 

Qualifications

  • A relevant IT education at Masters level
  • You can demonstrate experience or formal knowledge within Power Systems and NI Labview Real-Time System

Technology skills:

  • Matlab/ Simulink
  • Python
  • NI Labview / Labview Real-Time
  • Power Converter knowledge
  • PCB design knowledge
  • Analogue / Digital signal acquisition
  • Complex Programmable Logic Devices (FPGA / CPLD) knowledge is valued

 

Language skills:

  • Fluent in English (Writing and oral)

Additional information
Work location is in Porto, Portugal, 10-25 travel days a year can be expected.
