People and Culture 
The Vestas' People & Culture organisation is responsible for building Vestas' capacity to attract, develop and retain the industry's best workforce by partnering with the business to deliver high quality enabling HR tools and coaching as well as promote a value based WE culture.
As the Regional Talent Acquisition Manager you will collaborate with the Global Talent Acquisition Team to ensure that global processes and strategies are effectively implemented within the region. You will also engage with Lines of Business regarding workforce planning and talent requirements, encourage change management, translate global requirements into local ones and ensure the execution of Employer Branding activities in the region. 

 

In addition, you will oversee recruitment, ensuring there are long term sourcing strategies for critical talent segments and monitor and track cost per hire to ensure optimized utilization accordingly. An important part of the role will be to ensure effective Vendor management through due diligence, selection and assessment, and having a general interface towards Procurement.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • In alignment with the global team, develop and oversee local Talent Acquisition strategies, processes and programs to promote effective recruitment 
  • Ensure that TA activities are focused on company strategy and achievement of Must Win Battles 
  • Be the regional owner of the Employer Branding strategy in collaboration with the RPO and global
  • Responsible for regional activation and communication of the Employer Value Proposition (EVP)
  • Function as the regional anchor to the global, local and regional projects, evaluations and continuous improvement of processes within Talent Acquisition
  • Ensure there are long-term sourcing strategies for critical talent segments
  • Regional Workforce Forecast Management, ensure business staffing needs are met in relation to regular staffing and special projects (factory ramp-up, construction projects, etc.)
  • Direct, implement, and measure diversity & inclusion initiatives, assuring Vestas meets its goals in this area
  • Stakeholder management and engagement, establish relationships with key stakeholders, effectively own and provide recruitment counsel and guidance to effectively deliver the most optimal staffing solutions 
  • Responsible for Vendor Management (for RPO) and direct accountability for all hiring regionally. Also acts as regional point of contact for other 3rd party contracts
  • Engage in the Talent Brokering process to ensure that Vestas employees are considered for promotional or lateral opportunities in collaboration with the Global team. 
  • Use Talent Acquisition reporting and analytics to monitor and audit performance levels and guide strategy
  • Monitor and track Cost per Hire regionally to ensure optimized utilization accordingly of resources
  • Participate in global projects and for global processes and represent the region
  • Participate in the implementation of Applicant Tracking system and other relevant technological solutions for core HR recruitment Processes. This includes taking on the regional training and engage with LoB to support and ensure an effective implementation.
  • Partake in evaluation and continuous improvement of these processes, and subsequent implementation and change management
  • Be the regional point of contact for On/Off-boarding, and onboarding training completion tracking.
  • Oversee the Graduate and Intern program in the region
  • Responsible for engaging potential recruitment vendors including the implementation of new staffing vendor contracts for the region
  • Ensure compliance with regional legislation, TA policy and processes

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Min. 8 years’ experience in full recruitment life cycle
  • Solid social skills and the ability to establish and maintain high-quality working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Experience from large, international company, and e.g. experience from working with and within a matrix structure
  • Experience with personality/selection assessments, HOGAN a plus 
  • Business insight and ability to understand business requirements and translate these into improved regional workforce forecast and future talent pipeline needs
  • Deep understanding of employment laws & legislation in region
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SAP and additional software programs) 

 

Competencies:

 

  • Ability to function effectively in environments of rapid change and conflicting demands.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and with variety of cultures (coordinating with various time zones)
  • Ability to prioritize many tasks and complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Curiosity and ability to keep up to date on Vestas’ TA strategy, policies, and processes
  • Good networking and Stakeholder Mgmt. skills
  • Is an expert in sourcing strategies
  • Experience with (ATS) recruitment tools and systems, marketing tactics, experience with Successfactors a plus. 
  • Good English skills, both oral and written, required
  • Proven stakeholder engagement capabilities
  • Experience driving change and change management
  • Proven effective training/group facilitation skills – incl. experience in facilitating a webinar.
  • Travel in connection with global projects and forums expected. 

 

Additional Information 
This position is located in Portland, OR 
This position reports to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition in Denmark, with a professional dotted-line reference to the regional HR team, in (Insert Location). You will be working closely with the global team in your daily work and will be focusing on global processes.
