Finance / Regional AME / R&C

The Sr Manager, WTG BPM is responsible for local finance processes, compliance to Vestas' guidelines and correct use of Vestas' financial systems with the Construction department. You will report to the Sr. Director of Reporting, Compliance and Business Performance Management (BPM).  The focus is on the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) side of the business and this person supervises a team of 4-6 Project Controllers and Sr. Financial Analysts.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for local accounting and local contact to external reporting bodies, i.e. tax authorities, local auditors etc.
  • Responsible for local BU financial processes and smooth and fast closing
  • Responsible for monthly closing process including hard close and year-end close audit on legal entity level
  • Responsible for root cause analysis on performance, profitability and efficiency to pinpoint areas of improvement on local level
  • Ensure correct and timely local bookkeeping
  • Secure local audit process with no material findings
  • Prepare and submit monthly report, budget and forecasting report for Local Business Unit
  • Control and direct the Forecasting / Budget Process in the Local BU
  • Continuous business performance management appraisal in close collaboration with local management on the basis of the overall KPIs/PPIs
  • Provide clear, up-to-date and relevant management information
  • Root cause analysis on performance, profitability and efficiency to pinpoint areas of improvement on local level

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in Finance or related field
  • 5+ years of experience of Management experience.
  • Professional leadership skills; proven ability in coaching, mentoring, motivating and developing a technical support team that achieves high level results. 
  • Effective change and conflict management; proven decision-making ability with balanced risk taking; applies expertise to get results
  • Proven ability to get people working together to address exciting and complex problems
  • Very good business understanding, i.e. sales, service, projects, and procurement
  • Advanced knowledge in controlling
  • Professional PC computer skills (MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP knowledge required,
  • Good knowledge of local legislation, IFRS and tax knowledge
  • Professional English communications skills (verbal, active listening, written, meeting management, presentation)

 

Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to interact frequently with others in a professional, courteous manner
  • Ability to effectively supervise a team
  • Regular and reliable attendance
