Be part of the growing and exciting renewable energy industry by joining the Vestas North America Regional SCADA (Plant Engineering) Department which is tasked with the deployment and support of Wind Power Plant SCADA and control systems.

 

Preferred Location: Portland, Oregon but we will consider other location.

 

Responsibilities

  • Supports, guides, and directs project related activities provides leadership in solving project related issues with the SCADA team
  • Maintain master schedule of all projects, plan/coordinate necessary resources, and continually communicate with the other construction team members to complete projects on time and to standard.
  • Proactively anticipates potential issues, challenges assumptions, and identifies opportunities to circumvent delays.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, TBM and service teams to represent SCADA needs in the contracting phase of the project
  • Support organizational continuous quality improvement processes to reduce defects by generating standards for the SCADA team
  • Direct interaction with internal and external stakeholders to answer questions, resolve customer relations issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or combination of academic and relevant work experience in the wind industry preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Project Lead, or other management experience, preferably in a related service, industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • English communication skills (verbal, effective listening, written, meeting management, presentation)
  • PC computer skills (MS Office) required
