Our team is seeking a Project Controls/Cost Controller to collaborate with us. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external clients to ensure favorable project outcomes while honing your skills in cost forecasting, budgeting, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead budget development, progress measurement, cost forecasting, and prepare monthly internal and client cost reports for large, complex projects.
  • Apply advanced cost estimating methodologies for each cost element/WBS, including man hours, material costs, and other project expenses.
  • Reconcile actual costs against project forecasts and budgets.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules using tools like Primavera.
  • Communicate and coordinate with client representatives to gather and update schedule information.
  • Prepare and oversee the completion of weekly and monthly progress reports.
  • Develop and coordinate project cost reports, covering budgets, actuals, and forecasts for remaining costs.
  • Oversee project change order procedures, ensuring logs and reports are accurate and complete.
  • Generate internal cost reports for management on a monthly basis.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Wind industry experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting/Finance, or related fields (preferred, not required)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive responsibility in project controls, construction management, or a similar role.
  • At least 3 years of experience within the engineering and construction services industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Training in project management is an asset.

 

 

Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP).
  • Skilled in preparing and interpreting weekly reports.
  • Comprehensive problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex scenarios.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and professionally with diverse teams.
  • Skilled at overseeing diverse team collaborations with efficiency.
  • Flexibility to travel to job sites when required.
