Global Immigration and Mobility Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a complex global immigration program, in order to support internal stakeholders and employees
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, People and Culture and hiring managers to create a seamless and efficient approach to recruiting, on boarding and assimilation
  • Update internal audience as deemed necessary for immigration changes and the impact of regulations
  • Build out a scalable immigration program that adheres to local laws and regulations, to keep the company in compliance and assist in mitigating risk to the company
  • Partner with Vestas Global Mobility team on initiatives and solutions
  • Handle vendor relationship with outside immigration counsel
  • Direct weekly meetings with outside immigration counsel
  • Provide timely, in-depth and comprehensive forecasts, projections and data as requested
  • Serve as the SME for all immigration matters and serve as a corporate signatory on all immigrant petitions

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience with high volume employment-based immigration
  • High-quality interpersonal, verbal, and written communication. Ability to take complicated information and craft into a consumable format
  • Professional customer service skills
  • Experience organizing outside immigration counsel
  • Experience with corporate immigration matters at a growing industrial company

Competencies:

  • Proven history of scaling immigration processes and improving employee experience in a innovative, rapidly growing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic direction and organize hands-on corporate immigration matters
  • Established working knowledge of U.S. Immigration policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates proficiency in multiple case types
  • Ability to prioritize program milestones
  • Experience exercising independent judgment and discretion while using company policies and practices to evaluate situations, spot potential issues and determine appropriate action
