Generalist, HR

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure positive employee relations and is also involved in training, policy implementation, affirmative action, and employment law compliance
  • Act as liaison between employees, managers and P&C to resolve P&C related inquiries and ensure effective use of policies and positive employee relations
  • Provide administrative support to ensure customer service and regulatory requirements are met
  • Generates and distributes periodic standard reports and documents as defined and expected and in compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • As applicable, collect employee time data and submit to outsourced payroll vendor, review and approve payroll calculations from payroll vendor, prepare payroll statements
  • Assist department in carrying out human resources policies and procedures for company employees
  • Act as a resource for P&C Business Partners to ensure their understanding and compliance with HR policies and regulations. Keep management advised of potential problem areas and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate
  • Maintain employee files and other administrative tasks
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • Facilitate actions to resolve employee relations issues and escalating them to appropriate management team.
  • Serves as the primary resource responding to employee inquiries related to payroll, time reporting, benefits, master data, compensation, talent acquisition and immigration and mobility within the shared service center's defined service level standards; only escalate inquires outside of the position responsibilities.
  • Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned to support department and corporate goals

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years Customer service experience
  • Interest in HR
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources in process or completed (Optional)
  • Call center and ticket system experience (optional)
  • ADP and SAP HRIS/payroll/time labor management system experience (Optional)
  • Intermediate level utilization of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook; Access experience
