Service / Service Analytics / Regional Performance Partnering 

 

The Business Analytics Specialist is responsible for enabling KPI traceability & supporting the local organization in meeting Service Business Unit's regional targets through challenging data and facts. This individual will support North America with strong global ties to other Vestas regions.  
 

Responsibilities

  • Engage with regional service directors and regional managers to improve performance of business and turbine platforms as it relates to operational costs
  • Continuously support on cost performance - secured through Service execution by continuously identifying opportunities for cost saving
  • Identify and support prioritization and execution of main levers for improving operational performance in order to reach Business Unit targets; track progress and support with development of root cause analysis and suggested countermeasures
  • Secure actionable insights for daily decision making for operational organization through use of BI self-service tools (PowerBI) by owning and co-developing with global teams and training how to use
  • Distil data into critical few variables, understand variable interaction and design data tests to validate
  • Continuously scour data sets across all systems to identify anomalies and target cost out areas
  • Connect data across multiple sources / databases to identify variables and operational levers to increase project roll out and control
  • Drive active knowledge sharing on best practices within the region and the global team

 

Qualifications

  • Preferably a Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration or Finance with minimum 3 - 5 years of wide business exposure or a BS with minimum 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with data analytics and/or cost analysis and/or operational excellence is a must
  • Experience within an industrial sector, service business, energy sector is a plus
  • Positive with a get it done attitude, enjoys high volume of data work and feels successful and sense of pride completing projects
  • Good working knowledge on Advanced Excel and data analytical tools such as TIBCO Spotfire, MS PowerBI, SQL is a plus
  • Ability to work with very highly technical and business - oriented leaders and translate technical analysis and concepts into the right business insights

  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Exceptional facilitator and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organized, systematic, with a natural attention to detail
  • Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools is a plus
  • Flexible regarding work hours (international stakeholders)
