Analyst, Repairs

Responsibilities:

  • Review monthly billing due list in SAP as related to warranty work (CIM)
  • Conduct regular account reviews and report on aged receivables
  • [need to add detail about tracking CIM costs and ensuring they are properly transferred quickly]
  • Serve as a go-to individual for market knowledge and analysis needs in the North American region and Global Intelligence unit related to transactional business
  • Quantify impact of external market factors such as economic incentives, supply chain price volatility, environmental restrictions, and federal/state/local governmental rules as it may impact company and project financials
  • Potential functions include product management & forecasting, turbine & service value engineering, innovative analysis, power marketing, business development and policy analysis
  • Assist management and maintenance of sales reporting systems including preparation of monthly reports and action plans for Sales team and other key stakeholders.
  • Assist accounts receivable staff with customer / internal billing questions and reconciliations and resolve billing issue resolution
  • Develops financial models and tools designed to improve time to market, performance, and profitability. Assist in rollout of tools that optimize cost or flexibility.
  • Provide short-term assistance and vacation coverage for service contract billing
  • Communicate both externally and internally with customers and stakeholders
  • Develop processes or procedures that move execution in the accounting practices of the department
  • Perform Other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms.
  • Ability to effectively participate in a cross-functional team
  • Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexibility with daily tasks and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work separately in a remote environment
  • Ability to work separately with limited supervision

Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5 - 8 years of general sales experience that includes financial modeling, forecasting and materials planning / experience in Billing/Accounts Receivable
  • 3+ years of financial or sales reporting experience or the equivalent combination of both work experience and education; at least 2 years of forecasting experience for complex sales organization.
  • Solid Microsoft Office skill, with emphasis on MS Excel - required
  • Experience with data management tools, e.g. MS Access, SharePoint, SQL
  • Experience with SAP
  • Accounting, Auditing or Finance background
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
  • Detail oriented, investigative, methodical
  • Skilled written and verbal communication
