We are now looking for a Warehouse Team Leader  to run our warehouse operation in South Africa , ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution across our South African fleet.


Responsibilities 

  • Ensure safe, compliant, and highly efficient warehouse operations
  • Coordinate the operation of different warehouses and lead the assigned team
  • Maintain budget control and ensure accurate cost management
  • Perform inventory counts according to Vestas' global guidelines
  • Interact with departments to ensure the completion of planned activities
  • Develop a lean, productive, and results-oriented work environment
  • Ensure compliance with all area KPIs
  • Support service site operations by guaranteeing reliable deliveries of spare parts and critical components
  • Supporting all relevant steps for the day to day operations relating to supply chain from tracking the orders, receiving and storing goods and ensuring the availability of materials for continuous and planned operations

 

Typical responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Tracking, tracing and ensuring the availability of raw materials and goods for the work from planning to dispatching, from warehousing to distribution
  • Maintaining all procurement related entries are up to date
  • Supporting and assisting the stakeholders in the supply chain and logistics value chain
  • Following the standard to qualify the items before and after storing
  • Supporting buying activities and liaison between the varied external and internal parties and have the info updated in the relevant systems


Qualifications

  • University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Organization, Operations Management, or Business Administration
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar positions (warehouses, logistics, or supply chain)
  • Proven experience leading warehouse operations and managing teams
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and technological tools
  • Experience in contract management and warehouse operations
  • Proven experience with continuous improvement and operational optimization
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence
  • Fluent English
