Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day monitoring and support of our video conferencing solutions, ensuring high-quality audio and video transmission
  • Engage in High-level Troubleshooting and resolve technical issues related to video conferencing hardware, software, and the network used
  • Collaborate with our other Digital Solutions teams and product groups to monitor network configurations and relevant HW/SW
  • Comprehensive understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and wireless technologies
  • Familiarity with our video conferencing platforms of Microsoft Teams Rooms and Cisco Webex
  • Ensure seamless warranty replacements, configuration adjustments, and assistance by contacting our hardware supplier
  • Conduct system commissioning and testing on all newly installed systems
  • Proactive daily checks of our entire video system estate and perform maintenance where necessary to prevent disruptions
  • Assist in root cause analysis at a technical level on issues that arise
  • Be comfortable and knowledgeable in providing basic training and support to stakeholders on video conferencing procedures and best practices
  • Create and maintain Documentation on the support and technical configurations of our systems
  • Be part of design initiatives for future conferencing solutions that aim to enhance our conferencing setup and technology, which can improve the communication reliability and end-user experience
  • Stay updated on the latest video conferencing technologies, network security protocols, and solutions
  • Working with a ticket-based service management tool (ServiceNow) for incidents and support

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • At least 3 Years of experience in basic network operations support preferred
  • Proven experience in video conferencing support and network operations
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a time-sensitive setting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are advantageous but not required
  • Familiarity with agile ways of working is beneficial

 

Competencies

For the Workplace and Collaboration Engineer position, we are seeking a passionate and technically skilled individual to provide comprehensive support for our video conferencing systems and network operations. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless video communication and maintain the integrity of the network infrastructure.

 

Vestas has around 1400 meeting rooms globally across more than 80 countries that we operate within. Of the total rooms, about 500 are equipped with Meeting Room Solutions which provide audio, video, and content-sharing conferencing capabilities to the business. We rely upon Microsoft Teams for all our communication and our meeting rooms primarily use Microsoft Teams Rooms solutions but also Cisco Webex.

 

Our vision is to increase the number of meeting rooms equipped with Meeting Room Solutions as we constantly expand and renovate offices and replace old room solutions. We standardize and harmonize the Meeting Room Solutions used globally to ensure a uniform, high-quality, user experience in all meeting rooms.
