We are looking for a Wireless Network Engineer to join us to deliver Network and Core Infrastructure services for site roll out and continued operations. Our branches and end-user infrastructure access is crucial for Vestas.

Core Infrastructure & Network is part of Digital Technology Solutions reporting to the CIO of Vestas, where we are end-to-end responsible for the full stack Enterprise Network, from Global Access overall Network Security services to Data Center and Cloud Networking. We develop, deliver, and own strategies, roadmaps, governance, and day-to-day operations inspired by business demands and technology expertise.

We work in Agile products and are end-to-end responsible for all enterprise network access services globally, and as an Operations Engineer, you'll engage in more stages of service, from implementation and roll out to governance and operations. As a Wireless Network Operations Engineer, you'll combine your expert Network Engineering capabilities with comprehensive Operations Governance insight working hands-on as well as guiding and mentoring your colleagues in the Operations team.
Responsibilities
As a Wireless Network Operations Engineer, you will be involved in infrastructure design and rollout for our factories, R&D centers, and warehouses globally where your primary responsibility is the wireless designs. You will also engage in ongoing system maintenance; escalated operational issues and troubleshooting, vulnerability audits, change audits, and maintenance of standards and config templates with your colleagues. Your primary responsibility is our wireless infrastructure, but you can expect to be involved in multiple platforms (everything from WiFi, over LAN access to Core switching and routing), where you'll;
- Plan, prepare, and facilitate the rollout of Network components
- Configure network per design and standards
- Participate in Roll Out hypercare
As you get more familiar with our infrastructure and process, you'll take part in the daily operations of our entire access platform handling incoming requests and incident tickets, acting on preventive monitoring and alerting, and engaging actively in our e2e products with the architects and engineers for the continued development of our services.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical experience as a network engineer
- Wireless network knowledge of 802.11, Cisco 9800 Controllers, Cisco Catalyst Center (DNAC), and Cisco ISE is required to succeed in this role
- Additionally, using Ekahau or similar tools for wireless designs and surveys and being used to implementing wireless networks based on the Cisco 9k series access points is expected
- Networking Certifications from major vendors (Cisco, VMware, Juniper, Microsoft, etc.) or formal education such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, engineering or science is expected. Relevant certification could be Cisco CCNP
- Experience working with Cisco infrastructure is advantageous, and proficiency in configuring and managing network devices, including routers, switches, and Wireless at hands-on levels is expected
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Relevant but not mandatory skills: Experience working with ServiceNow and governance process
- Fluent English in speaking and writing is a prerequisite
