As part of Vestas Global Finance Shared Service Centre, the team is primarily responsible in providing standardized, rule-based services to the region. This refers to the end-to-end processes of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Travel & Expenses. Works closely with Regional Finance, Treasury and other SSC functional areas to ensure issues and concerns are addressed positively and in accordance with prescribed deadlines.

Responsibilities:

Process Management & Compliance:

  • Maintain exemplary working knowledge in the end-to-end process of Travel and Expense process
  • Execute Travel and Expense processing fully in accordance with the defined and agreed Vestas Standard Operating Procedures
  • Closely engage and collaborate with Regional Finance, Treasury, Master data, Digital Solutions, People and Culture and other business stakeholders, to solve operational issues and problems with speed and quality
  • Perform/Review accrual accounting and other month-end activities (as necessary) ensuring data integrity

Controls & Governance:

  • Adherence, performance, and documentation of related Internal controls and ensure that these are being done timely and with utmost quality
  • Participate in audit engagements both internal and external
  • Support Local/Regional Finance on requirements needed to comply with audit requirements

Analysis & Reporting:

  • Deliver regular dashboards and ad hoc reports to Finance leadership.
  • Analyze T&E data and provide insights to trends, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Create and analyze reports both for scheduled or ad hoc.
  • Perform reconciliation of T&E related GL accounts and credit card statements against transactions
  • Analyze employee debit balances

Employee Support:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees with T&E questions or issues related to expense reporting and travel and expense system issues or queries.
  • Provide guidance and training on T&E policies, procedures, and system usage.
  • Resolve reimbursement or expense report issues in a timely and professional manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in Travel & Expense management or related finance & accounting roles.
  • Solid understanding of corporate card programs, Global Travel & Expense policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Travel and Expense and ERP systems (SAP Concur, SAP S4 Hana)
  • Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment.
  • Advanced MS Excel and reporting/dashboarding skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on holidays as needed and, on any shift, as maybe assigned
  • Amenable to Hybrid working arrangement (3x onsite per week)
