The Global Learning & Development (L&D) department is based in the Global Talent Management organization, which is part of our People & Culture function.

In L&D we intend to empower business performance by promoting an inclusive learning culture and operations model that allows people to develop critical competencies that meet our strategic needs.

 

We aim to fulfill this vision by concentrating on the following objectives:

  • Establish a solid L&D foundation
  • Develop a learning culture & make L&D business-critical
  • Enable our colleagues' growth
  • Enable functional training & scaling

 

We support these goals through numerous projects, including:

  • The Vestas Academy: we curate the learning offerings and learning journeys to develop core skills for our learners and for which we coordinate learning providers (vendors)
  • Our L&D Advisory: we advise internal customers from across the business on best practices regarding learning and development (e.g., needs analysis guidance, content development, and review)
  • Global Onboarding: we define the global onboarding process, facilitate a global onboarding network, curate and develop the e-learning journey
  • Global Commercial Development program: we curate and communicate function-specific skill-development offerings for our commercial colleagues
  • Competency Framework: we are in the process of adopting a Korn Ferry Competency Framework (comprised of 12 competencies) to ensure one assessment and development tool across our Vestas employee lifecycle. The implementation of this competency framework is the newest addition to our L&D project portfolio

Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be on implementing our new competency framework and collaborating with the rest of the Global L&D team in our advisory cases.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implement our new Competency Framework:
    • Identify relevant L&D offerings and create, curate, or source learning journeys aligned with the new competency framework to support Vestas’ strategic targets and maintain the Vestas Academy accordingly with your L&D teammate driving the Vestas Academy
    • Collaborate with our GTM colleagues in Talent Acquisition to enable hiring managers to work on new hires’ competency development gap (identified during recruitment) from day 1
    • Identify and develop onboarding programs that introduce new hires to the competency framework in collaboration with your L&D teammate driving Onboarding
    • Implement assessment tools to measure competency levels across the organization, in close collaboration with our GTM colleagues in Performance Management and People Leadership Development
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the competency framework and make necessary adjustments in the process
    • Collaborate with colleagues in functional academies to ensure that their respectively identified functional/technical competencies fit into our new competency framework, utilize a unifying language, and that core competencies are delivered out in the functions
  • Advise our internal customers on best practices in L&D together with the rest of the team
  • Contribute to the improvement and implementation of our future governance model (incl., the initiative development process, improved KPIs for L&D, financing, and reporting models)

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Educational Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in Learning and Development, Organisational Development, or Talent Management
    • Proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing competency frameworks
  • Proficiency with L&D tools and technologies (in-depth understanding of SuccessFactors LMS and eLearning software Storyline by Articulate will be real advantages)
  • Relevant certifications such as CPLP, SHRM-CP, or similar credentials will be favorable but are not required
  • Advanced communication skills in English
  • Comprehensive project management skills
  • Understanding of L&D theory/trends
