The role is part of the newly formed team Specialized Finance under the Group Finance of Vestas Shared Services Centre (SSC) and is part of the expansion initiatives of SSC to deliver and cater to our internal Vestas businesses around the world. The team will be working with SSC and Regional Finance/Tax Team including actions to address issues on tax controlling and establish ways to improve the process. The team will also closely work with a wide range of stakeholders such as Regional Finance, Treasury, and other SSC functional areas to ensure issues and concerns are addressed positively and by the required deadlines

Responsibilities:

Responsible for Philippine local government requirements, regulatory compliance, and tax compliance.

Government & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Assist in the renewal of business permits by preparing gross sales allocations, tax clearances, and other required documents requested for local compliance.
  • Assist in government clearances and ensure completion of authorized signatories' documents.
  • Prepare quarterly submissions to the PSA for QSPBI and annual compliance requirements for ASPBI.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual submissions to the BSP for CDIS.
  • Monitor compliance with Philippine government agencies, including the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Board of Investments (BOI), and banking regulations.

Month-End & Operational Support:

  • Provide month-end closing support by assisting Philippine entities with accruals and other manual journal entries.
  • Records keeping and archive Philippine entities' legal and financial documents.
  • Pull out invoices for correction when necessary.

 

Banking & Treasury Support:

  • Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow reports for Philippine entities.
  • Maintain Philippine entities' bank accounts, including the creation and deletion of authorized user access.
  • Assist other departments with banking-related support, including inward and outward remittances, bank certificates for visa processing, and import renewals.

Corporate & Administrative Support:

  • Support the preparation of the annual SSC budget.
  • Work closely with the corporate secretary in preparing necessary documents such as Secretary's Certificates, Special Powers of Attorney, and updates to authorized signatories.
  • Support the creation of Purchase Orders (POs) and handle requests for new suppliers.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for Vestas Foundation, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, as well as support the same for VSPI and VROHQ legal Philippine entities. Provide support for statutory audit requirements and assist in resolving audit queries for PH entities.
  • Assist in the preparation and completion of actuarial valuations.
  • Create manual payment requests for PH entities' tax filings.
  • Support the distribution and reconciliation of BIR Form 2307 with vendors.
  • Support invoice vouching for VAT refund claims.
  • Serve as backup for all related documentation on Philippine tax compliance, including BIR filings.
  • Assist Philippine entities during BIR audits by providing required documentation throughout the Letter of Authority (LOA) process and reconciling discrepancies identified in the Notice of Discrepancy (NOD).

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in VAT, finance operations, or similar roles (AP, AR, Intercompany or any equivalent)
  • Solid foundation in accounting principles and VAT basics
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • BPO/Shared Services experience preferred
  • Experience in process migration/offshoring is an advantage
