Finance SSC, Costing & Inventory. The Costing & Inventory group is in charge of ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual costing & reporting. This requires compliance with the Company's Financial Guidelines and cultivating involvement from stakeholders. The group also acts as a business partner for Regional, Project, or Group stakeholders and makes sure that the financial activities-driven decisions are taken on a good financial business case, which can and will be followed up on. For this specific opening, the primary focus will be on the management of product costs - standard costs, group costs, and transfer pricing in SAP.
Finance SSC > Controlling and Reporting > Global Product Costing
Responsibilities
- Financial controlling of product costs and improving inherent procedures and guidelines to create a transparent product cost structure to support cost tracking, cost analysis, and reporting
- Full understanding of the product cost structure to enable cross-functional business improvement projects
- Preparing, monitoring, and controlling cost estimates
- Financial analysis of financial accounts, including variance reports, root cause countermeasures, opportunity analysis, business case, and compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any Finance, Accountancy, Business, or Management course
- 5 to 8 years post-qualification professional experience
- Experience working within finance, engineering, manufacturing, or procurement
- Familiarity or practical experience with manufacturing processes, sourcing, and cost evaluation
- Deliver results - take personal accountability to ensure timely and first-time right delivery of commitments of self and team
- Promote a culture of customer consideration by creating positive interactions within the team and with those involved
- Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards
- Experience in SAP
- Very good proficiency in Microsoft applications. Macros
- Good background in standard costing and baseline for procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain, and has an overview of how accounting works in these respective departments. The candidate should demonstrate a keen interest in learning about Controlling at Vestas
- Effective communication abilities are essential for this role, as it involves engaging with various business stakeholders
Competencies
- Skill in navigating complex environments involving management, project teams, and various stakeholders with distinct agendas to guide them toward a shared objective
- Detailed understanding of the costing processes and management of its interfaces
- Exposure to data quality management and keen on accounting details, MEND (Month End Close) reconciliations and data analysis, MEND reporting, and issue management
- Efficient documentation and process mapping experience is a big factor in the consideration
- Experience in handling process transition and standardization
- Experience in project management
