Digital Solutions in Vestas leads end-to-end digitalization within Vestas. You will help improve IT efficiency, integrate digital solutions further into our customer offering, improve our employees' digital experience, and support our core processes across the value chain.
Our department, Core Infrastructure & Network, is a part of the Digital Solutions area and is comprised of several DevOps Products responsible for all the various areas within the network, such as WAN, LAN, WIFI, Datacenter, and Cloud.
We are building a new 'Enterprise Services' Product, responsible for designing, developing & operating IT automation and monitoring services to support the needs of surrounding Products. The Product will evolve the existing system landscape and offer full E2E development, but also accept PRs from developers in the other Products.
Our department aims to provide seamless and secure global network services, ahead of business needs. A highly trusted, secure, and well-designed network infrastructure is key to this vision. We pride ourselves on having an API-first approach, hiding complexity from our consumers. CI/CD and similar DevOps tools are integral to us, and self-service for our end-users is needed in a constantly growing environment.

Responsibilities
You, as a Senior Developer
- As a Senior Developer in Core Infrastructure & Network, you will bring your deep knowledge of software development and application design into play in both working with roadmaps, technical design, new implementations, and the ongoing maturing of existing platforms and services.
- One of your focus areas will be on the continuing development of our containerized automation platform based on Flask and Angular2. It holds business logic and orchestrates several backends, including NetBox as the source of truth. You will increase the quality of the pipeline, which already has 600+ tests, linting, pre-commit hooks, etc.
- Another area is the Jinja2-based "network config generator," where you will work with network engineers to develop a sustainable tool that still enables non-developers to submit PRs
Qualifications
- A bachelor's or master's degree in IT, engineering, science, or related fields
- 5-7 years' experience as a software developer, with DevOps and experience with TechLead
- Relevant software development certifications as an alternative to formal education
- High degree of experience as a backend, frontend, or full-stack developer
- Several years of experience in Python/Flask-RESTX or TypeScript/Angular
- Experience with the following is beneficial
- Networking space, you could be certified CCNA, CCNP, or similar
- Golang, C#, OpenAPI, CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Jinja2
- Influx, ClickHouse, Kafka, or Redis

- You have a senior attitude, both regarding your working habits, being systematic, and towards your colleagues, asking for your skilled consultancy.
- You insist on automating and standardizing where possible; you just hate manual processes.
- You cannot write code without doing a test case, as you put too much pride in stable products.
- While working as a developer, you are comfortable engaging in all parts of the process and can do both architecture, test, implementation, debugging, etc.
