Salesforce Field Service Lightning (FSL) is a specific offering from Salesforce that focuses on coordinating and optimizing field service operations. FSL is designed to assist organizations in efficiently coordinating their field resources, such as technicians or service agents, by providing tools for scheduling, dispatching, and tracking field service activities. A Salesforce FSL Consultant/Architect specializes in implementing and customizing Salesforce FSL solutions for organizations. They have expertise in understanding field service processes, configuring FSL components to align with those processes, and integrating FSL with other Salesforce products or external systems. They work closely with stakeholders, such as field service managers, to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful deployment of the FSL solution.

 

A Salesforce Technical Architect must possess broad knowledge across multiple development platforms and draw on their skills and experience to assess customer requirements and architecture in order to design secure, high-performance technical solutions that maximize the potential of the Salesforce platform. This particular architect position requires extensive experience working in field service environments and the candidate for this position must have Field Service Lightning experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Salesforce application design best practices are followed
  • Conduct client meetings to solicit the technical aspects of business requirements
  • Possess an overall understanding of the project solution from a technical aspect
  • Provide oversight & guidance in the implementation of a project solution
  • Provide recommendations/validations of the technical implementation of a solution
  • Conduct technical design and application code reviews for the project as necessary
  • Assist the project team with writing Technical Design documentation

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Field Service Lightning experience and Field Service Lightning trailhead badge
  • 2 years of Salesforce-specific project experience in a technical leadership role
  • 2 years of consulting experience
  • Expert understanding of the Salesforce development platform and best practices
  • Expert understanding of the Salesforce Data Model and how to extend it
  • Expert understanding of the Salesforce Data Security/Sharing Model
  • Expert understanding of Salesforce Field Service Lightning
  • Understanding of Enterprise & Salesforce-specific integration design patterns
  • Field Service Lightning experience and Field Service Lightning trailhead badge

 

Competencies

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect

  • Advanced presentation skills
