Finance SSC - Business Controlling & Reporting
The department is mainly tasked to deliver valuable insights to the business through scalable, reliable, and consistent financial controlling to improve performance and decision-making across the value chain. We are also in charge of ensuring accurate and timely periodic reporting, which includes ensuring compliance with the Company's financial guidelines, balancing with managing business performance, and engaging with relevant business stakeholders - both finance and non-finance operations. We also act as business partners for regional, business unit/segment, or group stakeholders and make sure that the financial activities driven decisions are taken on a good financial business case, which can and will be followed upon.
The group is consist of various teams supporting Vestas' value chain which includes financial BPM controllers in the region and in SSC - from Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Project Execution (CPX previously construction), Service, Development, Research & Development, transport, tools, group/headquarters finance (Transfer pricing, Group reporting, Real etate & Facility Management, Digital Solutions, and Financial Planning & Analysis, and Product costing & analytics.

Responsibilities
- Execute complex month-end, quarter-end, and year-end finance and accounting closing activities in full compliance with group accounting policies/controls and performance targets (SLAs, KPIs, OPIs)
- Responsible for complex accounting and financial analysis. Prepares reports efficiently and effectively, utilizing advanced technical and financial knowledge
- Ensuring the accuracy of project-related postings and the settlement of project costs to inventory
- Prepares and reviews complex standards and responds to ad hoc requests for analytics and to provide support for business profitability, case preparation, and investigation into financial performance in enabling decision support. Working closely with the Finance Business Partner in making informed decisions
- Reconcile local financial statements with IFRS standards, ensuring alignment with company and regulatory compliance policies
- Collaborating closely with different teams in SSC and Global Development to ensure accurate and compliant financial data and operations. Coordinating with external consultants for regulatory compliance
- Assess major changes in process and operational scopes that will require cross-function assessment and provide sign-off to close SPV entities during Month-end, Quarter-end, and Year-end
- Manage continuous improvement initiatives by identifying, designing, and maintaining efficient, standardized, and effective reporting and control processes
- Review, enhance, and maintain quality documentation, including process flows, methodologies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring auditability and knowledge continuity
- Provide functional guidance and informal coaching to Analysts, supporting capability building, knowledge sharing, and overall team effectiveness
- Serve as a subject matter resource within the team for assigned topics, systems, or processes, contributing to best practices and consistent application across regions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in any Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related area. Certifications (i.e., CPA, CMA, CIA, RCA, CTT, etc.) are beneficial
- At least 4-6 years of relevant working experience in finance, particularly Business Controlling, Financial Analysis, or any equivalent finance functions
- Good communication skills, particularly in the English language, both oral and written, and able to communicate insights to stakeholders and team members
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Knowledge of using the ERP system. Experience in SAP is beneficial
- Possess analytical skills relevant for financial analysis, i.e., variance analysis, formulating basic insights, and linking to finance, with a curious growth and continuous improvement and learning mindset
- With relevant experience in managing stakeholders and reporting insights generated from the analysis + controlling experience
- Flexible in work shift schedule depending on the region catered and willing to extend during the month-end close, as needed
- Experience in a shared service set-up is beneficial
- Good at working with others and takes initiative with a professional demeanor; performs well in a complex, demanding and busy environment
- Experience in inventory accounting, project accounting, revenue & cost controlling, and reporting insights is desired
- Include specific need for the role (i.e., Group tax, Group Consolidation, Product Costing, Controlling, Manufacturing/Supply Chain, etc.
Competencies
- Solid and applied skills in Finance and Accounting Principles, with experience in complex data analysis, reconciliations, and month‑end close (MEND) activities
- In‑depth knowledge of Accounting Estimates and Revenue Recognition Principles, including Completed Contract Method (CCM) and Percentage of Completion Method (POC), with the ability to apply and explain impacts to stakeholders
- Ability to perform and explain complex variance analysis, actuals versus budget/forecast assessment, and forward‑looking financial insights
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex and ambiguous issues, perform root-cause analysis, and work issues through to resolution with minimal supervision
- Effective business partnering mindset with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Able to navigate the SAP ERP system
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, macros, or automation skills
- High data quality awareness with a high level of attention to detail and accountability for accuracy and consistency of outputs
- Demonstrated documentation and process mapping skills, with experience in designing, improving, and standardizing end-to-end reporting and control processes
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with confidence in engaging and challenging stakeholders professionally
- Exhibits solid ownership, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to prioritize, manage workload peaks, and meet tight deadlines
