The role is under Global Finance of Vestas Shared Services Centre but is functionally reporting to the Finance team in Denmark. Special Purpose Vehicle Controller is mainly responsible for maintaining the books of SPV entities. Ensuring all transactions are recorded and Financial Statement is presented in compliance with Vestas GAAP. The role is expected to have close collaboration with the Regional Finance, Payroll & Treasury Department as well as with the other functions in SSC such as AP/AR/TE & Controlling and Reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Be up to date on the professional and IT-technical development and bring relevant improvement proposals forward to the SSC Management in the processes (i.e., Cash Management, Cash Flow, Fixed Assets, Intercompany Reconciliations, Statutory and Monthly Reporting)
  • Assess major changes in process and operational scopes which will require cross-function assessment (RF / LoB / HQ) and provide sign-off to close SPV entities during Month-end, Quarter-end and Year-end
  • Ensure that the entity meets the requirements of the Law and the requirements of the auditors according to the recorded materials and the internal controls instructed by the Vestas compliance policies
  • Ensure execution of processes for own team in accordance with good practice and service delivery requirements, and secure a valid data output for further analysis
  • Participate in knowledge sharing with different functions
  • Ensure that SOX documentation has been completed, reviewed and essentially approved for submission to the Compliance team

 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy
  • With a qualified background in General Accounting, Reporting, or Controlling
  • With at least two years of experience handling end-to-end Accounting Operations
  • Knowledgeable in GAAP and the use of ERP

 

Competencies

  • Green belt trained or with knowledge in process improvement methodologies but not required
  • With certifications (i.e. CPA, CMA, CIA, etc.) but not required
  • With good interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and inspire others
  • With good communication skills
  • Problem solving-oriented
  • Flexible and willing to work on holidays as needed and on any shift as may be assigned. Willing to travel
  • With positive behavior and attitude. Can blend well with different kinds of personalities
  • With knowledge of using ERP systems
