SAP Security Operator

This role will be part of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) Chapter, which is responsible for monitoring, responding to, and continuously improving the security posture of our applications. This includes ensuring that identity and access management practices comply with internal processes, legal requirements, and cybersecurity standards.
The team collaborates closely with various stakeholders to align application security with the organization's policies and standards. We leverage a wide range of tools and techniques to monitor and improve the security posture of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain the security of SAP systems to ensure protection against cyber threats
- Identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner to minimize organizational impact
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to design and implement SAP security initiatives aligned with company policies and standards
- Support SAP audit-related activities to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP Security or SAP Basis
- Extensive experience with SAP GRC or other compliance tools
- Solid understanding of SAP security concepts and best practices
- Exposure to SAP security monitoring tools such as:
- EarlyWatch Alert (EWA)
- SAP Solution Manager
- System Recommendations (SysRec)
- SAP Security Optimization Service (SOS)
- Practical experience supporting the design and maintenance of SAP roles and authorizations across both on-premise and SAP cloud platforms
- Basic knowledge of SAP technologies and security frameworks such as:
- NIST CSF
- NIS2
- ISO 27001/27002
- MITRE ATT&CK
- Growth mindset with openness to learning and supporting security-related activities beyond SAP applications
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with SAP security monitoring tools such as:
- SecurityBridge
- SAP Enterprise Threat Detection (ETD)
- Onapsis
- Experience implementing SAP Fiori roles
- Technical experience in any of the following:
- SAP Basis
- ABAP development
- SAP HANA administration
- Cloud security
- Experience with SIEM/SOAR tools, Microsoft Sentinel
- Exposure to incident triage, alert handling, or security operations (SecOps)
- Familiarity with AI tools or automation to improve daily workflows
Core Competencies:
- Effective collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within a team toward common goals
- Ability to clearly communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Critical thinking skills to identify trends and patterns in data and improve security controls
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently
