RTR - General Ledger Accounting Analyst

The team is under Global Finance of Vestas Shared Services Centre (SSC), within the Record-To-Report (RTR) Department. The RTR department is responsible for General Ledger, Fixed Assets Accounting, Cash Management, Intercompany Accounting, Accounts Receivable & some controlling and statutory Reporting. Within this function, the General Ledger (GL) Team plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records. The team manages month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, supports statutory reporting, and maintains SOX compliance documentation. Additionally, the team handles various cash management processes, such as Bank Reconciliation, Cash Flow Reporting, In-house bank Accounting and Controlling, Petty Cash Accounting, Currency Exposure Reporting and Treasury Trades Accounting and Reporting. The team closely collaborates with Regional Finance, Payroll, Treasury Department, other line of business personnel and with the other functions in SSC such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Travel & Expense.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in further improvement and optimization of Cash Flow Reporting, Bank Reconciliation and related Treasury processes and procedures in Finance and Accounting
- Execute the relevant finance processing of Cash Management fully in accordance with the defined and agreed Vestas Standard Operating Procedures
- Work closely with relevant colleagues and business stakeholders to solve operational issues and problems with speed and quality
- Prepare and review daily (i.e., bank posting/clearing, bank reconciliation, cash flow reporting) and monthly reports (i.e. In-House Bank Reconciliation, Cash Flow and Currency Exposure Reports, Other Cash/Treasury related reports) and accompanying schedules and specifications
- Perform analytical review to ensure achievement of KPIs and PPIs for the specific function assigned
- Ensure SOX controls review has been performed and completed for specific entities being handled Assists in improving accounting policies to maintain and improve internal controls
- Ensure standard operating procedures and process manuals are frequently reviewed and updated accordingly
- Develop training plans and knowledge sharing within the team
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Accountancy or relevant business course (Banking and Finance/Financial Management/Management or equivalent)
- Solid background in Cash Management functions, with general understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Intercompany and General Ledger functions
- At least 2-5 years of working experience in the same field
- BPO and migration experience is an advantage

- Knowledge in process improvement methodologies would be an advantage
- Good communication skills
