The SSC Procurement Department is comprised of multiple work streams within Procurement such as Indirect Buying, Purchasing, and Digitalization & Processes. This role is under the Purchasing team which collaborates closely with the Global and Regional Procurement organizations on purchasing activities (i.e. source-to-contract activities, spend management, and supplier negotiation).

Responsibilities

You shall be accountable for the execution of the end-to-end purchasing process, or some parts thereof, which covers requirement definition, supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting, as well as all other relevant steps within the full process. You may be responsible for the category and/or spend management of selected commodities within Global or Regional Procurement.

 

  • Process NDA requests, convert contract request workspaces to contract workspaces in Ariba
  • Conduct sourcing activities (RFx) with agreed vendors and negotiate to reach the best possible outcome for Vestas
  • Participate or join in the selection, qualification, negotiation, and contracting with suppliers within the category
  • Guide tenders and/or initiate the creation of supply agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, purchasing agreements, framework agreements, etc.
  • Optimize the current supply base, including cost by doing cost-outs or savings initiatives
  • Worked across different business units within Vestas and provided input to and implementation of the category/regional procurement strategies
  • Implement continuous improvement programs both internally and at the suppliers with a special focus on cost-saving initiatives, supplier optimization, and component standardization
  • Ensure adherence to KPIs set by Global Sourcing regarding safety, quality, cost, delivery, innovation, and sustainability
  • May perform deep-dive analysis to improve the KPIs
  • Perform data analysis on tenders and spend visibility and other relevant procurement analytics activities

 

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in engineering or business studies
  • 3-5 years of work experience in Purchasing or another position requiring professional coordination and business skills
  • Great interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Effective and solution-oriented problem solver
  • Able to work in a multicultural environment
  • Could have working knowledge of SAP & BI

  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications. Knowledge of SAP & Bl is beneficial
  • Fluent English is essential
